During the tour, you will visit a charming tulip garden where you can take a relaxing walk among the colourful flowers. Enjoy a delicious drink with a traditional Dutch stroopwafel, a slice of apple pie or another local treat.

To complete this unique experience, you will visit a real tulip grower and get an exclusive look behind the scenes. Along the way, your guide will share fascinating facts and stories about the Bulb Region and the cultivation of flower bulbs.

You will be warmly welcomed by your guide at Have Fun Events in Voorhout, at Keukenhof in Lisse, or at another agreed location in Noordwijk, Katwijk or the Bulb Region.

Our enthusiastic guide will take you on a beautiful and carefully planned tour through the famous flower fields. Of course, you are welcome to share your own wishes or preferences to make the experience even more personal.

TukTuk Tulip Experience Bulb Region

In spring, during the opening period of Keukenhof, the Bulb Region is at its most spectacular. From mid-March until early May, the flower fields burst into colour with blooming daffodils, hyacinths and tulips. Your guide will take you to the most beautiful fields in the region.

Which flowers are in bloom at any given time depends entirely on the weather nature decides. The season usually begins in mid-March with daffodils, followed by the fragrant hyacinths. From early April, the famous tulips start to bloom, creating the iconic colourful landscapes the Netherlands is known for.

While the Netherlands is world famous for its tulips, the hyacinth fields are equally impressive, with their intense colours and wonderful fragrance.

How many people fit in a TukTuk?

We have two TukTuks available. Both are the same size, but due to current regulations one TukTuk can carry 4 passengers and the other can carry 6 passengers.

In total, we can accommodate groups from 1 to 10 passengers across both TukTuks.

Covered and comfortable in all weather

Thanks to the solid roof, you will always stay dry inside the TukTuk. Depending on the weather conditions, we can place side panels to protect you from wind or rain. On warm days, the side panels are removed so you can enjoy a pleasant breeze while driving through the flower fields.

Does the tour always take place?

Booking a TukTuk with a guide is subject to guide availability. If a guide is unavailable or the departure time needs to be adjusted, we will contact you directly.

In the unlikely event that we need to cancel due to the absence of a guide, you will receive a full refund or a voucher for a future booking.

Can I drive the TukTuk myself?

Yes, it is possible to drive the TukTuk yourself. If you choose this option, you will first receive a short instruction. Afterwards, you can practice driving on the parking area of Have Fun Events until everyone feels confident and comfortable.

To drive the TukTuk, you must:

• Hold a valid category B driving licence

• Have at least 5 years of driving experience

• Be at least 30 years old

When driving yourself, you must follow a fixed route. For insurance reasons, it is not permitted to deviate from this route. Of course, we provide a beautiful route that takes you past the most stunning spots in the region.

If you choose the self-drive option, up to 12 participants can join across the TukTuks.

Can children join the TukTuk tour?

The same rules apply as in a car. You can bring your own child seat and secure it in the TukTuk using the seat belts.

Our TukTuks are 100% electric, well maintained and professionally operated. During guided tours, you are accompanied by an experienced driver who knows the region and ensures a relaxed and enjoyable experience.

The TukTuks are equipped with seat belts and a solid roof to keep you protected from wind and rain. On warmer days, the open sides allow you to enjoy the fresh air and beautiful surroundings.

For self-drive tours, we provide clear instructions and a practice moment before departure to ensure everyone feels confident and comfortable.
